Styles in Fine Art Exhibition

I shall have 17 paintings on display at the 'Styles in Fine Art' Exhibition at Stamford Arts Centre, Private view on Monday 7th December and continuing until January 2nd 2010.

Some paintings are new and some are older ones at very much reduced prices. More details can be seen on the Paintings and Shop pages, but here are some thumbnail images :

New work at Stamford

Stamford Artists Gallery has 16 new PB paintings in stock, including six miniatures (3.625 x 5 ins) as pictured below. They can also be seen on the Shop and Paintings pages, with details of medium and size.

A Second ROI Award

I'm immensely proud to say that my painting 'October Morning Dew' (above) won a second Award at the Annual Exhibition of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters at The Mall Galleries in London - The Stanley Grimm Memorial Award, given for the public's favourite painting as voted for by visitors to the Exhibition.

I'm very proud to say that a painting accepted for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters at The Mall Galleries, "October Morning Dew", has been awarded the Ranelagh Press Award "for an exceptional small oil". Devon Exhibition

My work for my Devon Exhibition at the Marine House Gallery at Beer in Devon, starting on Saturday 31st October, is now complete and all 46 new images have been posted on my website - go to 'paintings' tab, then click on 'Galleries' and then on the Marine House 'view paintings' button. I have also attached a commentary on each painting, the first new one being the Noble Heavy Horse. The images will also be posted on the Marine House website, www.marinehouseatbeer.co.uk, as from 7th October, when they will be for sale.

Hope to meet some of you, my adoring fans on the opening day, when I shall gladly sign autographs for no fee whatsoever, and even talk to you !!! Fame and fortune hasn't changed me at all....I'm still the same approachable legend I've always been......ahem.....

Many thanks to everyone who attended my demonstration at Crown Hills Art Society last night - I enjoyed it and i hope you all did !

New Paintings

Apologies to all my fans and followers for not up-dating my blog with new news. I am working very hard for my joint exhibition with Tina Morgan at the Marine House Gallery in Beer in Devon from Saturday October 31st for two weeks.

Therefore, there will be a lack of new paintings displayed on the website as I am stockpiling around 45 paintings for this exhibition. These will be on show on both my website and Marine House's during October.

There will be a broad mixture of animal portraits, landscapes and marine subjects in Oils and Pastels, in all sizes, and possibly even some Watercolours!

I should also like to say a big thank you to all the folks who came and visited my stand in the Demonstration Tent at Patchings Art Festival back in June - my first time at Patchings. Thanks for all your kind comments and enquiries about my work. I hope to have a DVD produced showing my working method in the Studio and on location - watch this space for updates on this project !
