Herald Moth

I found this little chap whilst picking a few Raspberries in my garden. He was resting actually on one of the fruits. He's called the Herald Moth and has beautifully marked forewings in metallic orange with white legs as you can see from the photos

  1. Before he opens his wings he looks quite like a sheild perhaps hence the name. Hope you enjoyed your raspberries Peter. Ve. Oh and you,re pastel is wonderful thankyou for sharing some of the process it is always very interesting though I think it would take me months to finish something like that. Hence the difference between amateur and genious eh.

    1. Indeed he does Ve and I think that is the origin of his name. Glad you like the pastel - I'm no genius but thanks for the compliment!
