Five more tiddlers...

 Frosty River-Run

 Winter Sunshine

 Autumn Beeches

Sparkling Water near Gretton

 Pembroke Waves

All these little guys are the 3.5 x 5 inches again, so there will be eight in the gallery, framed and ready for Christmas in the gallery in a couple of weeks!

  1. I am utterly amazed at your ability to hit exactly the right notes throughout each of these small paintings and maintain such detail and perfection. If they are intended as gifts, can we assume that they don't take you too long for each one? I wouild assume hours in each case, but maybe you have mastered the art of hitting exact color mixtures quickly and putting the paint down at light speed. Do you find that doing these helps your larger work, as well? Thanks for sharing them!

    1. Thank you Mitch! They don't take too long to do as you might imagine, being so small. I only use one red, blue and yellow, plus Raw Umber, so I guess colour mixing is instinctive now. Not sure whether these little guys help my larger work, but sometimes it's good to change gear and close up on things, then spread out once more on a bigger expanse! Thanks again for your kind comments!
